How To - Clear Browser Cache
This article will walk you through clearing your browsers cache for Google Chrome, Edge and Firefox. As you browse the internet your browser keeps temporary copies of files used to display a website and fill in forms. Overtime this cache will build and you may have problems viewing a website correctly. Clearing your browsers cache is a way to start fresh and obtain new files for the websites you visit.
Clearing Cache For Google Chrome
- Select the three dots in the top right of your browser and navigate to More Tools to expand the menu and select Clear browsing data
- Select the Basic tab and set the following options as shown in the example below and Select Clear Data
- Clearing your cache may take a moment. Once it is complete close your browser and reopen it. You may continue browsing the internet.
Clearing Cache for Microsoft Edge
- Select the three dots in the top right of your browser and select Settings from the menu
- Select Privacy, Search, and Services from the Settings on the left side
- Scroll down to Clear Browsing Data and select choose what to clear
- Set the following options as shown in the example below and Select Clear Now
- Clearing your cache may take a moment. Once it is complete close your browser and reopen it. You may continue browsing the internet.
Clearing Cache for Firefox
- Select the three horizontal lines in the top right of your browser and select Settings
- Select Privacy & Security from the menu to the left
- Scroll down to Cookies and Site Data and select Clear Data
- Set the following options as shown below and select Clear
