OneDrive - Upload & Share Files
To upload and share a file via OneDrive in the browser with an external user, follow the instructions below.
- Launch the web version of One Drive by doing the following, in your web browser, click the "My Apps" sign in extension in the top right corner.
- Or use this link: http://apps.511tactical.com/
- In the box, search for Onedrive, then select "OneDrive"
- When the page loads, choose, "Upload" and select the file you wish to upload.
- Then, right click on the file to share, choose "Share"

Click on the arrow pictured below
- Select "Specific People"

Click Apply
- Enter the email address of the user(s) you would like to share the file with.
- Click send.
- The user will receive an email, with a link to access the file, along with a 1 time use code required to access the file.
To upload and share a file via OneDrive in File Explorer with an external user, follow the instructions below.

Open File Explorer by selecting the start menu and searching for it or pressing the Windows + E keys on your keyboard simultaneously.

Navigate to your file or folder you want to share and right click it, select OneDrive > Share.

Select the gear icon to open the settings of the link to be created.

Select your desired permissions for your link. If you are needing to allow an external contact access, select "People you choose".

Enter your recipients e-mail address and select either Send and it will be sent directly or Copy link to send in an e-mail later.
